The only place I have heard that the Sox are after Lugo is here. Lugo has had some run ins with the cops and some domestic violence problems and the fact that he isn't that great a defender makes me think he isn't in the sox plans at all. I will be very surprised if he signs in Boston. I think the sox want strong defense at shortstop and thats why I think A-Gon will likely be back. If the Angels want to unload Cabrera to make room for Wood, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox were in on that.

OuttheK's, Cordero is one of a couple guys I hope the sox bring in for the pen. That would be huge. I don't think Lester is in their 07 plans, if he does come back I don't think it will be as anything but a starter. I like Breslow a lot too.

The sox have to be in on a big time starter this offseason and maybe Meche too. There is absolutely no excuse for bombing two years in a row. They can absolutely be a contender next season. With Lester out of the picture though, I think it will mean the FO might have to spend more.
