As to the other part, stop articulating from your sphincter. He's certainly as far along as Hughes in terms of stuff. In fact he's beyond. He throws for greater velocity and he already has what scouts call two ++ pitches in his curve and his change. Sure, he's older than Hughes was at AA, but he's actually been pitching less time than Hughes. Buchholz is a two way player from JC converted into a pitcher. Before he transfered to JC, he was an outfielder for a D-I school.
Like it or not, Buchholz might just be better than Hughes.
