First off, why the hell is everyone talking about Lester in the past tense? SO THE GUY CAME UP AND WASN'T KOUFAX!!! JESUS. He is 23. Twenty-fucking-three. He still has all the upside in the world and still has a 93 mph fastball and a 70 mph curve with nast movement. Everyone who talks about lester in the past tense is a fucking moron.

Secondly, Bucholz has what scouts call a plus fastball. Good life, 92-94 late last season he was SITTING at 96. The guy has a ripe arm with a lot of upside. Now, thats not even his best pitch, ++ curve and change and a + slider to go along. On any given night he throws all of those pitches with good command and has "ice water running through his veins"

I think Bucholz is a big deal. Took a perfect game into the 8th a couple weeks back, and misses bats like its his job (it kinda is and hes good at it)

Bucholz, Bowden, Lester, Papelbon and Pedroia > Wang, Hughes, Cano and Melky by ALOT
