I think they started Demetrius Jones for a couple reasons... the fact that Notre Dame didn't name their QB until late made Tech prepare for each of them -- and I think a mobile QB is probably what Weis figured they were least prepared for. Also, Weis probably figured that starting Jones might allow them to exploit GT's speed and aggressiveness. I just started watching but obviously it doesn't look like it's working.

but if your defense is based upon speed and instead of smashmouth football or pocket passing, the offense comes at you with option QB shit, you are essentially playing to their strength. I'd think we could have Claussen throw the ball to the receivers and then smash it up the middle with Thomas or Aldridge.
