At day's end, the Pats proved to be just too good. And so the good folks at ESPN (thanks in part to a little creative lobbying from yours truly and crew) have decided to switch me from coverage of Monday Night Football to full-time Patriots Pursuit of Perfection. Yes, "Monday Night Mania" has been fun, but now I am 100% all about The Run for 19 and Done. And I am amazed I can even type correctly and not spill words all over the keyboard like an electrocuted Edward Scissorhands because I am SO FRIGGIN' PSYCHED!

So starting this weekend I will be back home, in Boston, making videos surrounding the Patriots, the coming game, the mania, the experience, the pursuit, you name it, we're all over it, like McDaniels gameplan on Anthony Smith last Sunday. AND we'll be setting up a big tailgate in Foxboro Sunday around 8am, wandering around, interviewing folks before and after the game, so if you plan on grilling and drinking your breakfast and ;lunch and enjoying you some Patriots-in-person, give a shout at fitzy@townienews.com and tell me where you're at and what's going on. I can honestly say, with great pride, "Dude, I'll be there like it's my job. BECAUSE IT IS!"

Oh, and if you already weren't convinced Belichick was gonna try and beat the Jets 140-0, read THIS. Mangini, close your eyes and get something to bite down on 'cuz it's gonna sting.
