Things like this happen fairly regularly in the NBA, and I heard talk of doing something about this rule years ago but nothing ever came of it. I doubt anything ever will. Van Horn is the biggest winner of any of the trades made.

Yeah you essentially got it. Dallas took his whole salary just to make this deal happen. He goes to NJ, takes a physical, and goes back home. That's living the good life, haha.
