I've heard of LEAP, and that, to me, says a lot. When law enforcement officers are telling us the current war on drugs isn't doing anything, we ought to listen. I do, however, take some exception to the notion that illegality doesn't dissuade people from using. I'm subject to random drug testing at work. The fact that I could lose my job, and the potential for social services to get involved with my kids if I'm caught in possession, are significant deterents to me. Therefore, I don't partake, and I would (occaissionally) if there was no potential for penalty. I'm sure there are many who act the same. That said, I don't, nor will I, believe that more people smoking an occassional J is all that bad compared to the current failed effort.
