This is a rare case where I concur with your position but I've got to say that the stats disagree with us both. Between passed balls and errors, Cash is almost (not quite) as bad as Josh Bard was in his brief time with Boston.
Subjectively, I think that Kevin Cash is as good as any catcher I've ever seen, including Pudge Rodriguez, Tony Pena, Bob Boone and Jim Sundberg in their primes. The stats don't support that this year for Cash, although they did in 2007.
