At the risk of sounding like a Hansen apologist, sometimes you just have to tip your cap to hitters. Roberts put together an excellent AB, and it seemed Hansen was getting squeezed a bit.
And for a single to be a "line drive", doesn't that mean it can't hit the ground before getting to the outfield? I'd call it more of a "cue shot."
Blame for yesterday's loss, IMO:
1a. Pedroia
1b. Bullpen Management
2. Offense
3. Hansen

Pedroia ranged far to his left to even come close to fielding that ball...no fault there, IMO.
Boston's offense was fine, individually; the hits were ill-timed.
Hansen pitched fine. Two-thirds of what should've been called strikes became balls: a pitcher cannot survive with calls like that.
Blame, for Wednesday's loss, IMO:
1. Bullpen management
2. Umpiring
