About the whole "demaning special rights" for a piece of paper thing. They aren't demanding special rights. They are demanding rights bestowed on EVERY person in this country by the constitution. To not allow gays to marry is to blatantly disregard the constitution and to take away certain inalienable rights.
It doesn't matter if you don't like to see men kissing. Most straight men don't. It's a matter of principle and morality.
Fighting for "a damn piece of paper" is certainly worth it! You may be too young to understand the legal benefits of marriage, and the tax breaks involved. It's worth it to bring a lawsuit against the state for disriminating against you in every way shape and form. It's about time something's been done, and I just hope that this isn't all struck down in '07 with some bullshit "constitutional" ammendment made to particularly discriminate against a group in this country.
