I truly think that despite making $16 mil last year that based on his worth $10 mil is a generous offer.

Look at the contracts some of the free agents have had to settle for this offseason, it's clear the owners aren't as free-spending as in years past, with the state of the economy and whatnot. Does he really think he can get a better deal elsewhere? And besides, $10 mil is no small chunk of change. You give me $10 mil and I'll never work another day in my life.
