2:05 today, with our favorite Devil Ray on the mound.

It'll be interesting to see how Wakefield does against a team other than the Yankees who he has dominated over the last 2 years.

Kazmir has struck out 15 Sox in 9 1/3, no ER. He's given up only 3 hits in the span. Ewwwwww.

the Sox have always had a hard time with leftys in general because Ortiz and Nixon cant hit them for the most part. Although Ortiz has become pretty dangerous against anyone. But if they could hit 3 HR off the big Unit then I have faith in their abilities against Kazmir. I think they will hit him fine.

Last year his ERA was 5.67. but he still managed to shut us down. There are some teams that have difficulty with some pitchers for no apaprent reason.

it was still too small of a sample size though - 9 innings? granted he was nasty but it still doesnt mean anything going into today

I have no doubt that we will be able to get to Kazmir. He pitched well against us last year, but there is no reason to believe that he can keep it up against an even better lineup this year. I see Wakefield taking it to the young and undisciplined DRays.

If Kazmir continues struggling to hit the strike zone, then we should have no trouble beating him. We loaded the bases without even having a hit. It's only a matter of time before we capitalize on these situations.

Yankees down 6-0 in the 2005 debut of Kevin Brown. Tejada with a Grand Slam.

Why can't we play the D-Rays every game of the season?

Because we need to beat down the Yankees too. 3-1 the final.

Not sure if this has been said but this afternoon Tim Wakefield passed Cy Young for third on the teams all- time strikeouts list...truly a accomplishment...Congrats Wake!

Good preformance today by Wake, hopefully we play as well against the Blue Jays as we did against Tampa Bay. I'm already mad though, that I won't get to see tomorrow's game on NESN since it's a morning game on a weekday. Damn Patriots day. ;)

Kazmir is so wild with his pitches. He needs some control.

True, but it's just expected that we should be bashing teams like Tampa Bay.
