Instead of banging your head against the wall, take the day off to savor the following facts:

1) We're only half a game behind the yankees, in spite of not having Nomar, Trot, or a healthy, stable Kim

2) Our BACKUP #5 starter has outpitched the arguable ace of the yankees' staff...twice

3) Our team's ERA is almost half a run better than anybody else's in the AL, and Pedro hasn't quite been "the Pedro of old."

4) Dave McCarty is hitting better than Derek Jeter (.229 > .195). So is everyone else not named Cesar Crespo or Ellis Burks. EVERYONE

5) We have two catchers hitting over .280

6) Manny is hitting .354 when he's only had Millar, Varitek, or Daubach hitting behind him. (see also point #1)

7) Pokey's Better. Nuff said.

8) Mark Bellhorn has more home runs (4) than Gary "Roid Boy" Sheffield (3)

9) This team is not going to hit .267 all year, and we're still only .5 games out of first

10) Grady Little is gone
