Except, someone explain to me the overtime/shootouts, I still don't get what happens if the game is still tied after the last shootout. :dunno:

They go on to sudden death. If the team A skater scores, than the team B skater has to score on their next shot, otherwise they lose.

Neat... I like the sudden death OT, much better than a dang tie

Right...but what if team A and team B both don't score? Lol I'm so confused.

Then it goes on until someone does score in the same round when the other team doesn't.

I went to 3 AHL game last year, and in action these rules work well. But I hate any form of no touch icing ever. Im not sure if theyre gonna use that, but they shouldnt, takes away from the excitement of the game.

We saw an amazing 8-7 shootout win. Probably one of the best games ever, Providence vs. Lowell. Providence was down 7-6, and Dan LaCatoure scored the game tying goal with about 25 seconds left. Then the Lock Monsters won in a shootout.

they're not gonna use no-touch icing.

However, teams who ice the puck won't get a line change. That is going to be a pretty huge difference for the game as well. If you are being pressured, you won't be able to get fresh legs out there by icing the puck.
