1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC.

Make sure to not use his name (so you can feign ignorance later) and make lots of very specific death threats.

Ciao.

You're right, he should be sent hate letters because he's smart enough to know that $52M is more than $40M.

Dont use Damon and Smart in the same sentence, they are oxymorons

".....the reason everybody
freaks out when their favorite damn pop singer blows its brains out is
because they've invested so much of their personalities and thoughts in
that mere human idol of millions that it's THEM that dies and they're
left still alive with a huge chunk of themselves spread over the wall in
another city. Big blank spot left in their lives. Damn you all, worship
me, yes, or anyone else you like, but save your love and secret heart for
yourselves. Don't get left half-alive, looking for another whale to
attach your sucker to."

It's just baseball and it's just a baseball player. Get over it. Worry about yourself, your friends, and your family. The direction that some baseball player's career takes has no bearing or impact on your life, my life, or anybody else's.

Any yankee fans who are still bitter about Damon and what he did to us will finally accept him on May 1, when he gets booed at Fenway louder than A-Rod

I definately hate arod more. Damon played 4 seasons for Boston and gave his all. He played hurt alot. He made one of the best catches I've seen. Most importantly, he hit 2 Home Runs in game 7 of the ALCS on the way to helping the Red Sox win their first world series in 86 years. I might be in the minority, but I'll be standing and cheering his first at bat in the Yankee game I have tickets to this year.

I'm unpredictable. Also, at the board I go to more often, there is someone threatening to sue a bunch of members. Crazy stuff.

empirestrikesback26
12-30-2005, 05:05 PM
It's a long story and I'm not really involved so I don't know the exact details but the person suing claims these members harrassed he and his wife.

What do you feel the reaction is going to be like at Fenway when he returns for this first game as a Yankee? I mean, he helped us win a World Series, and now sells out for the Furcal-esque price of $52 mill. I'd say the best response would be dead silent ... 33,000-plus saying nothing. Now THAT would bug the hell out of anyone.

Yes, he died in a terrible bus accident. Steinbrenner ran him over by accident on his way to a meeting in Tampa to figure out how to sign Jesus, but decided to sign his soulless body to a four-year $52 million dollar contract. So sad.

That would be genius, but it would never work. Kind of like how everyone always thinks the entire arena should be dead silent when an opponent is shooting free throws at a basketball game. Coordinating 30,000+ like that is impossible. Hell, even during moments of silence for 9/11 or recent deaths theres always a few assholes who can't resist shouting yankees suck.

Yeah, even at this year's Opening Day ceremony, during a moment of silence for Dick Radits, some hero of mine yelled out "AROD YOU SUCK!!!!!!". It was beyond classic.

Too bad they edited that out of the Rings DVD. <_< <_< <_<

Hahahahah I remember that. I was at that game and if I remember correctly, the guy was pretty close to where I was sitting. The whole crowd started to laugh too. The moment didn't last too long.
