Randy Johnson looking to make more history tonight by getting his 4000th career strikeout against the San Diego Padres at Bank One Ballpark. He is eight away.

Into the 2nd inning, 0-0 and No K's thus far.

Make that 7 K's away...

Klesko just struck out looking on a 97 mph fastball.........................

Well, he got it. He pitched 8 IP, 2 ER ball and still got a loss. Typical from the lousy D-Backs.

It's too late to feel regret for trying to WIN. John Henry needs to get off his tail and authorize Theo to bring in an IMPACT player fast. Let's face it....Henry can afford to do what Steinbrenner does...he just doesn't CHOOSE to.

PLUS, with Nomar in New York next year and Lowe, Tek, Pedro gone...it will be easy to afford Randy.

He's signed for next year, I know that.

That means he's not quite a "rental" player, and the if the Sox got him they wouldn't have to worry about him being a free agent with all the other big guys.

Cirillo was the 4.000th K
Perfect justice for Mariners fans that had to live with Cirillo who sucked for so long.
