As we all know by now, Jason Giambi made comments last week about how MLB should apologize for all the rampant steroid use they allowed to take place a few years ago. According to the New York Daily News, what Giambi says in an expected upcoming meeting with MLB will determine if they try to get out of the 7-year, $120 million deal he signed in 2001. Here's the link:

We'll take him over here.

I thought it was pretty clear to everyone that he used steroids, although I guess technically he never did admit it until just recently.

he admitted it to the grand jury but I think this is the first time he's actually quoted as admitting he did them

Why would they want to do this? Even if he did roids, he's still one of the best 1B in the game without them (if he stopped).

With his issues with his foot it's doubtful he plays much 1b for the rest of his career.

Right, one of the best DH then.

Once a juicer always a juicer. I don't want to ever see him in a Sox uniform.

What would you do if Ortiz or Ramirez was outed as a juicer tomorrow?

Honestly? I'd feel ashamed, angry, betrayed, and down right hurt.

I'd rather have Youk and take the money it would take to sign Giambi and spend it elsewhere

Yeah, tweak the bullpen a bit or get some good bats.

ill always feel cheated because of his 2 HR in game 7, whether those 2 HRs were steriod induced or not we'll never know

I'd suggest you feel ashamed and angry and betrayed right now then..and I'm not saying that either of THOSE guys do/did use PHDs. But c'mon...ya really think the Sox are ALL clean? You have to assume some Sox players have used.

I'd admire their dedication. Anyone who'd risk giving birth to a three armed child or some other mutant baby for the sake of the Red Sox is okay in my books. :D

I respect when people admit their mistakes, are honest and accept responsibility for their actions. If Giambi comes clean and admits it, I will have respect for him.

I honestly hope they do not do this. Giambi, even though he seems to be breaking down, he is still a major power threat and a great OBP guy. We need him badly. And to cut him to save money would be awful.

Well well it seems within the last year Giambi failed an amphetamines test

50 games, right?

Josh Phelps for DH? I love it.

EDIT: I forgot. The first offense for speed is more testing.
