Why don't you drink a nice cup of shut the hell up, were both good GMs, if you look at the stats he's getting a guy with the 8th Best ERA in the League, and a 1B hitting .316.

OK, he's 20th. And here's my reasoning: Smith has a great ceiling, but he's pretty bad right now. And he's almost to the point where he's not a prospect anymore. Meanwhile, I'm trying to win now, not in the future. Smith wouldn't be able to help me for a few years anyway, whereas I need a SP now, since both Lawrence and Buehrle are injured, and a 1B, since Cordero can only hit lefties. This trade filled both those needs, and both the guys I got are pretty young, too, so they'll be around for a while.
