Re: Yahoo Baseball PLUS 2008
Can we change the innings limit to 20? 15 is a little low for this league. That's basically four starts of five innings. If your ace is a two start pitcher, you only really need one other start to make the limit for an entire week.
Your thoughts?

The time to set the rules is before the league starts. Which is when we discussed it. The purpose of the minimum innings rule is to thwart the use of stacking a tean with relievers . The intent is to act as a deterent not as a negative scoring tool. After six weeks of competition, it appears to be working just fine. However, you don't change the rules during the season.

Re: Yahoo Baseball PLUS 2008
I've been paying attention, and there are some who are sitting SPs after they get a couple of good starts in a week. This bodes well for them in ERA and WHIP, but they are virtually giving up QS and K. The net benefit is zero.

I realize that. I also realize to change the rules is unfair after the season begins. Next season, I propose that we up the innings limit to 25. FORCE people to use their starters. Like in real life, have tough decisions in who to call up. For this reason, you would have to increase the DL spots to maybe 2, but it will spur activity.
Mind you, the activity isn't bad by a long shot. I just want more of it.

Eh...I had an open spot. No desire for Moose. He'll kill your whip.

Re: Yahoo Baseball PLUS 2008
Just a side note....from my dealings.
Kudos to Kilo, SOTK, Spitballs, ORS and Kings of Swing. You guys give some decent trade proposals, and glad to see most of you doing well in the league. If you have openings in any of your leagues, and the league is active, let me know.
Now that I have Arod back, I don't need Beltre. Also have an excess of slighlty above average SP. Looking to improve my depth hitting-wise or RP/SP. Please don't bother asking me for one of my starting players for people I'll put on the bench.
