Default Interesting Pitching Stat I noticed...

Going into today, 20 qualified major league pitchers had an ERA under 3. Last year there were 7 at the end of the year. Do you all think this means anything right now or is it too early to tell. I checked BAA under 225, and it's 18 to 7.

hell yeah.. a lot more people were on steriods that mlb and the fans expected..

i hate pointing fingers but a lot of formerlly really really good players are slumping and have not shown any sign on getting better.

it would be a lot better when guys like johnson and oliver p. comes around and when sheets gets off the dl.

It should even out as the season progresses. Just like Manny won't finish hitting .250.

Jon Garland is not as good as he's pitching. Dontrelle's ERA won't be under 2.5. Things like that after a month of play are skewing the numbers. Pitching will be up this year, but it won't be crazy like it is now.

Do you know how many pitchers' ERA was under 3 at this time last year?
