Default W-L means nothing

What the hell's up with D-Train and Garland getting all the love when Harden and Myers have been just as good?!?

Win-Loss record doesn't mean crap.

W-L isnt meaningless but people overblow its importance. Last year RJ should have won the Cy Young but his awful record due to the lack of offense in Arizona cost him it even though he had much much better peripherals than Clemens. This year Clemens is getting a taste of his own medicine because Houston's lack of offense has already cost him several wins. There was one game that he pitched a 9 inning shutout and didnt get the win cause it went to extras tied at 0.

But that said you cant say anything about Dontrell - his ERA is something insane like 1.08. That should win you 7 straight games. Last game he won he gave up 1 run over something like 7 innings and it raised his ERA. Garland and Foulke are better examples though. Some pitchers pitch better in tight games and get more wins so you cant discount that. There is really no way to improve the system though - except for the fact that Foulke should never have gotten the win there. I hate when closers blow a save and get a win.

True, same thing happened to Rivera. He got the win dispite blowing the lead in game 2 of the Yanks/Sox series at the Stadium. I watched some of the Chicago-baltimore game last night Garland is pretty damn tough. dontrell well he's just throwing fireballs up there.

same with Foulke, I was furious when he got the win after blowing the 3 run lead we had going into the ninth. I demanded Clement get the win.

I'm sure Selig took you're demand into consideration.

It was more of a demand rant around my house and caused a few pillows to be featherless.

And oh yeah, Sizzlin, did I ever tell you how funny I find your sig to be?
