$50 MLB.com gift certificate
It's the dead of winter and, Manny aside, things in the baseball world are not as exciting as some would like. So in an effort to get our minds of the snow outside, its time for another Talksox.com contest.
This is a 'contest' of sorts for a $50 MLB.com store gift certificate which can be used to purchase any product on the redsox.com or any other team store. Essentially this is a random drawing. One week from now I will pick a random post made in that time frame and award its author with the gift certificate. This is post #103991. If the week long period ends (at 12 noon saturday) with post #106500 for example, one of the 2700 or so posts will be chosen via a random number generator. Some guidelines: - Everyone is eligible
- The winner will have 48 hours to respond to the winning PM or another post will be chosen
- If the winning post is made by the admin or a banned member, another post will be chosen
- A spam post (promoting another site or service) cannot win'
That's pretty much it. Good luck.

Re: $50 MLB.com gift certificate
I think I get it. The post Yeszir made was #103991. All of the posts between now, and noon next Saturday get entered into this contest and randomly drawn. So pretty much any post between now and noon next saturday can win, if thats what you didnt get...

Re: $50 MLB.com gift certificate
That's where I get confused. The site as of now only has 103,070 total posts according to the site stats. So to get to post #103,991 there needs to be about 900 more posts.
eye b contused.

I know what I'm doing . When you click on a post it displays some crap on the browser location bar. Vbulletin keeps track of deleted posts as well as kept posts, so it looks like 921 posts have been deleted over the 2 year history of talksox. I'm going by the browser #, not the # at the bottom.
And yankshater has it right in his explanation. I didnt mean for it to be so confusing.

Re: $50 MLB.com gift certificate
Seems like a lot to be giving away just for a random drawing, but I like the idea.

No, you're better off not making any posts actually.

Re: $50 MLB.com gift certificate
So RSR doesn't get it and you explain. I don't get it and you use sarcasm. Real fair.
