Hank: Joba needs to start now
http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/news/...=.jsp&c_id=nyy
Haha, this is great. Joba to the rotation who is going to setup? Bruney? Farnsworth? The Yankees are going to have a tough year.

Re: Hank: Joba needs to start now
So basically he just called Girardi an idiot. Awesome.

Re: Hank: Joba needs to start now
girard couldnt handle the marlins owner getting involved, how is he gonna handle hanky getting involved. but I can't tell you how much I love this. with rob and big done, they need to start a reality show based on the daily comings and goings of Hank. Hanktv ... it really needs to happen.

I agree. Must See TV.
Ca$h already said today in response to Hank's comments that it's not going to happen. At least not now.

Re: Hank: Joba needs to start now
He's shaping up to be everything his father was, except potentially more stupid. This should get better with time.

Re: Hank: Joba needs to start now
If they start to stretch him out now, he wouldn't be ready until the middle of May. Take him out of the bullpen now, and this team might as well throw in the towel. The next 4 weeks would be abysmal without Joba in the pen.

It's not hard to be stupider than George. Believe it or not, George was far from stupid. He was just very impatient and had such high standards.
But yes, Hank is probably quite stupid

absolutely
He NEEDS to be in the pen. Give Igawa or Rasner a shot, or look outside of the organization. If nothing works, then consider using Joba.

Re: Hank: Joba needs to start now
""you gotta be an idiot""
hmmmmn
fredo steinbrenner does know about idiots having to see one in the mirror daily.
why does this fucking idiot speak?
joe girardi or brian cashman
who walks the line 1st?
based on cashmans ability to survive this long id say he outlasts girardi who won coach of the year and got fired the same summer.

Re: Hank: Joba needs to start now
Okay, Hank math:
Joba goes into the rotation now, he gets 20-25 starts, he wins 15 of them. Joba comes out of the bullpen, the Yankees have no 8th inning guy, they are unable to hold a lead and drop 20 or more games because of that. Five games in the AL East can mean the difference between playing in October or not. Hank, shut up and let the manager manage and the GM make personnel decisions.

But...would he really win 15 out of 20 starts? Assuming he gets some no decisions, thats like, 15-1 or 15-2. And I think blowing 20 games because of his absence is bloated. A lot.

Who in the Yankee bullpen would be the set-up guy for the Yankees with Chamberlain in the starting rotation? Which of the starters, besides Wang is going to give you 7+ innings per start? With Chamberlain, moving him to the rotation with a pitch limit for the season, how many times does he go past the 5th inning? To many questions if Chamberlain is moved out of the bullpen. It stretches guys like Bruney from pitching just a 7th inning to having to pitch the 7th and 8th, or having to bring Mo into games in the 8th. Not a good move. Leave the bullpen the way it is.

Re: Hank: Joba needs to start now
I'm loving this.
Girardi is an idiot. Mike Mussina needs to pitch like Jamie Moyer.
Does this douchebag ever think before he talks?

I can't wait to see who cracks first. Cashman or Girardi.

Girardi will be fired unless he wins, and he may be fired regardless. He was fired in Florida for badmouthing his front office in public, despite his amazing ability to pull wins out of thin air.
BTW, has anybody else noticed that the Yankees really suck but that they're still only 3.5 games back of Boston? Despite most of the team's mediocrity, Girardi has the Yankees at .500 in the AL East, a division significantly tougher than the 2006 NL East. He may not kiss up to his boss well, but Girardi sure knows how to manage.
