Default Posada to the DL, may be done for yr

This is not good. Posada threw twice yesterday and after the second throw, he winced. Today, he was scratched after trying to throw. His last MRI showed a small tear in his subscapularis muscle, which is one of the muscles that makes up the rotator cuff. He is to have another MRI and see Dr. Andrews in Alabama. Regardless, he is being placed on the DL. If he needs surgery, he's done for the yr.

I could see that there was something wrong with his arm yesterday. The NY Times is reporting that he has a tear and is likely headed to the DL.

We get better D and arm from Molina, but he is nowhere near Posada's class as a hitter. We may have seen the last of Posada as a catcher.

...and he is signed for 3 more years. That was a dumb move.

Wow, this would be devestating to the Yankees' chances this year.

You had no chance this year anyway with two rookies and an over the hill Moose in your rotation coupled with a really bad bullpen.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that...whatever helps you get through the season.

You can put it in your signature or frame it and hang it on your wall. I have always believed that the Yankees are never dead until they stop breathing and even then they need to be stabbed twice in the heart just to make sure. However, I think only the most delusional of die hard Yankee fans and the most scarred, paranoid Red Sox fans think the 2008 Yankees have a shot at anything. Now, I am not talking smack that the Red Sox will repeat. That will prove to be very difficult, and if we need to rely too heavily on too many rookies, we will probably fall short. That being said. Your team has lots of problems.
