Re: ...and whoever's playing the Yankees - 2008 Game Thread
I tihnk we're missing the most important par tof the Yankee situation right now.
Kei Igawa, Darrell Rasner, and Mike "5IP" Mussina occupy 60% of their rotation.
LOL

Matt Joyce with a HR off Rasner. It looks like Rasner has a penchant for giving up the long ball.

3-1 Yankees. Betemit hits a double to center and then immediatetly has to leave the game with a leg injury
EDIT: The word from the Yankees is that it is a strained right hamstring

Re: ...and whoever's playing the Yankees - 2008 Game Thread
here comes rivera who has been untouchable so far this year 14IP 5H 0ER 0BB 12K, usually he starts off slow and gets stronger as the year go, he might have a year with an ERA under 1

Good win. Good pitching by Rasner, exactly what the team needs from the end of its rotation.

Rasner has been exactly what we need. Gives innings, keeps us close.

It's been two games, and it's Darrell Rasner.

Unlike those cockpumpers Kennedy and Hughes. What a waste of trade bait. We couldn't trade those guys for Ponson now. Ok...maybe Ponson. Not much else.

Re: ...and whoever's playing the Yankees - 2008 Game Thread
Rasner's issue has never been effectiveness. It has been longevity. If he continues to keep his pitch count down and goes 5+ IP he will be effective as a #5.
