To be honest with you, the Rays worst asset right now is their offense, which I fully expect to kick up. Their SP has always had potential. Kazmir and Shields are legit #1s. Jackson and Garza have ace stuff and right now are hot and Sonnanstine is a nice middle of the order innings eater that moves the rotation along. Add to that Percival shoring up the closers role and every other BP pitcher has shifted down a role and are working well. Their pitching has always been the problem. Now, their SP is dominant and their pen is solid. If they continue to pitch like this, then i think they can be in this thing for the long haul.

Kennedy may have single-handedly killed the Yankees season.

If you're going for the drawn out 'plenty' I think you need multiple ns', not ts'.

Verbally that translates as 'plent-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-y', which instead of coming across as sardonic or condescending, makes you sound like Shelley Duncan looks.

Right, I'd say about 3/4 worth?

Well, he did suck.

That said, the Yankees have extraordinary financial resources to bring to bear, a reasonably strong MiLB system for trade fodder, and a few veterans who will perform better than they have thus far.

The Rays are for real; the Red Sox are at least as good as the Rays; the Blue Jays are another excellent team. The Yankees will be in the mix come August and September despite the competitive excellence of the AL East.

I don't know if the Yankees will reach the ALDS, but I'd almost guarantee that they'll contend.

As will, of course, the Red Sox.

Exactly so why would we be worried? If we're in last place then ask me if I'm worried and the answer might be different. We don't panic until there's reason to panic.

think the old man isnt calling out fredo and the other bloated pink skinned fuck bag?
looking up at the sox for the past 14 months is hard for them but looking up at toronto tampa and the woeful orioles is another level of anxiety.
steinbrenner demands the back pages of the ny tabloids be his domain
if he is aware of whats going on he maybe ready for a nervous breakdown

My mistake
Question then - when is it appropriate to be concerned?

I hate Kennedy for sucking. I hate Cashman even more for not having the baseball knowledge to ascertain as much.
