Gom, sorry--it's actually clearing up around the Bronx as best as I can tell by radar.

No big deal. I never left the subway, so I just went back. I'm looking forward to the All-Star game. Never been to one, nine tickets...I'm gonna have a blast.

And I just quoted the official NWS forecast, but I still feel bad.
Enjoy the All Star Game!

Like I said, don't worry about it. I know you meant well.

Jeter two run homer against Santana. 2-0 Yanks. Awful pitch by Santana, a changeup left right over the heart of the plate.

Sweet. 3 consecutive hits by the Mets to start the 4th inning. 2-1 Yankees and the mets have runners on 1st and 3rd. LOL at Johnny Damon's pathetic attempt to throw the ball home.

Unbelievable. The umpire gives Pettitte a complete gift on a 3-2 pitch to Easley. Bases still loaded now with 2 down.
EDIT: 3-2 Mets!

Good Ole Fransy is back in mound - gave up 3 on top of 7th. 6-2 Mets.

Ballgame over. Mets win 7-4. Decent outing by Santana, although he allowed 3 HR's which is probably a little alarming for Met's fans.

Re: ...and whoever's playing the Yankees - 2008 Game Thread
The Mets hit one ball hard off Pettitte in that inning. Tough luck loss for him, he had good stuff.
Farnsworth shows up in a big spot again, way to be Kyle.
People point to the Yankee pitchers as a problem, but the hitters are just not getting it done. 4 runs on 3 homers is not going to win you ballgames. Hopefully they'll wake up Tuesday when A-Rod gets back.

I agree, it really doesn't help the team out when your leadoff hitter is batting .257 with only 5 SB.

Re: ...and whoever's playing the Yankees - 2008 Game Thread
Wang catches a HUGE break. Delgado hit a ball that clearly hit the top of the wall in fair territory, yet the umps decided to reverse the call taking away 2 or 3 runs from the Mets. Even with the awful call, the Met's still lead 3-0.
