Hughes ERA is back up to 9. He will be at risk of getting sent to the minors after the next game or two.

Thisn idiot looking RP for the Tigers Bautista just walked the bases full in the 8th inning with Jeter up annd 2 outs and now he hits Jeter to force in a run. I don't know what Leland is waiting for. He can't throw a strike. He finally makes the pitching change.

Hughes and the offense's inability to capitalize in big spots. The bats just fall asleep with risp. Inexcusable.

The bats tend to slump at this time of year. If I were you, I'd be disgusted with the two rookie starters. These guys look like a car wreck.

*relieving sigh* isn't it just wonderful to have OUR two rookie pitchers throw gems in each of their most recent starts, while the Yankee rooks get shit on worse than the girls from 2girls1cup?

Oh yeah....Hughes and Kennedy will be awesome.
Lets see...if you are a rookie...and you suck. Guess what?
You suck.
Fire Cashman.

Re: ...and whoever's playing the Yankees - 2008 Game Thread
Last I checked, games in April counted in the standings. The Red Sox aren't running away with it like last year. That's the only difference.
Cashman blew it. Right now, the Yankees are a MUCH better team with Igawa and Rasner in the rotation than Kennedy and Hughes. This is more a testament to how terrible Kennedy and Hughes have been than how good Igawa and Rasner are.

Re: ...and whoever's playing the Yankees - 2008 Game Thread
ya its april and the yanks have been beaten up with injury now that miss mabeline is on the dl with a strained quod and jug head posada with his aches pains and whatever.
that is a problem
that isnt their only issue though.
even if everyone is healthy they will have phil hughes ian kennedy and mike mussina pitching for them.
mussina seems to have settled down to just shitty rather than dfa material but these other 2 men havent been able to do anything successful and i actually felt bad for their catcher last night who didnt know whether to shit whistle or wind his watch.
i do enjoy the turmoil
but as ive said from the get go
the american league is going to be a difficult place to hang your hat this year
this toronto team cant hit lefties
the sox offense is horrid at this hour
the yanks have 2 good starters and 3 who blow along with no bullpen to speak of.
tampa and baltimore were playing for 1st place last night
in the west i think seattle can give anaheim a run for the money but oakland and texas have their moments
in the central detroit cleveland and chicago will beat each other senseless while kc struggles to achieve .500,which indeed they may this year.
it will be a shit fight till october for all of us i bet

Hughes is having difficulty with the lights at night. He may be getting fitted with neon glasses for his next night game

Now we have to fear LASER EYES when we face Hughes.
