As for Kennedy, I guess the plan for now is to let him make a start or 2 in Scranton and then evaluate the situation then. The Yanks are gonna use 4 starters for now. After being informed of his demotion today Kennedy made some comments that might irk some in the Yankee organization. I don't want to misquote him, so I'm gonna go find the exact quotes, but they were things along the lines of cheap cop-outs and complaints about the high magnitude and so much pressure.

Moose is only good against mediocre offensive clubs,
His last 3 starts have been aganst teams that rank #8,9, and 10 in the AL in runs scored.

Counting on Moose for anything outside of eating innings against below avg. offensive clubs would be a mistake. He just isn't good enough to go against the upper echelon of ball clubs these days.

Re: Hughes, Kennedy, might be out of roatation?
that isnt necessarily true. I think it depends on approach for him. If he isnt attacking the inside part of the zone, he is meat. If he does, then he can be mediocre against anyone.

Kei Igawa, who is expected to make his next start for the Yankees, gave up four runs in seven innings Sunday for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

I'm not counting on him to anchor the staff, but I'm not gonna call him a wash just yet. He's been a serviceable number 3.

That's probably ok, then...there are quite a few mediocre clubs in the AL.

I dunno. Tampa Bay's been fucking resilient (fucking is ok right?). Our division is getting better, and Moose isn't a sure thing. I'd be scared of him if I were a yankees fan.
but the again I'd probably also be self-loathing.

Mussina is a fine number three pitcher in the AL...he may be a little less for a team with the aspirations of the Yankees.
I'm not joining the "Mussina sucks" chorus here. Boston's highly disciplined lineup can beat him up, but he can get out an awful lot of batters still.

once our offense kicks in, he'll only need mediocrity to win 15 games or so.
