Nick Swisher, trade bait

I wouldn't be upset if they got rid of him. Overrated.

Re: Nick Swisher, trade bait
Something is on the horizon if they are willing to deal one of their only stable forces in the OF. Also, I dont like the idea of him leaving. He brought a good attitude to this club

Re: Nick Swisher, trade bait
Would yankees fans like the trade if it was grady sizemore for swisher?

Re: Nick Swisher, trade bait
Of course I would. And if that happened I would expect every self respecting Indians fan to swarm the Jake and push it into the lake

Re: Nick Swisher, trade bait
Oh that would be perfect. Yankees trade Swisher to the Tigers for Granderson, the Sox turn around and trade for Miguel cabrera, who Swisher's ability to play first base frees up. Tigers lose salary, both the Yankees and Sox gain highly talented ballplayers that fill their needs.
Of course, I wouldn't half mind if the Sox did a deal with the Yankees for Swisher. We need someone who can at least fake it in CF and can help out at 1B. But I don't see that happening.

Re: Nick Swisher, trade bait
How about we get Cabrera to DH, and you get Granderson to play CF?
Who knows...but Swisher is the typical player who can get you to the post-season, but do nothing once you get there. See Cano if you need more of an example.

Re: Nick Swisher, trade bait
The last deal between the Sox and the Yanks was Mike Stanley back in the mid-90's, I don't expect them to be matching up on any trades any time soon.
As for Swisher, if we can get something decent for him then good. He brought a lot to the team off the field this year but I wouldn't mind sending him packing. That would definitely increase the chances of keeping Nady, who I prefer.
