Yippee! Bring back all the members of the failed 2012 team as far as I'm concerned.

You mean the team that played in the ALCS, right?

There is still another offensive move to be made. They need a RH bat that can hit. I don't think we're out on Napoli and I do think we'll be in on keppinger.

I wouldn't call them a failed team. More of a flawed team. A team that's was built around offense to with stand the every day rigors of playing in the AL East. That just happened to go cold against a very deep Detroit rotation. The Yankees biggest flaw was the lack of impact SP behind CC and Kuroda. They would have needed the first 2 to win every time out and not have a bad outing to have a shot at the WS title. It wasn't impossible but it wasn't a likely outcome either.

IMO Detroit would have had the edge in the series even if the wheels hadn't fallen off for the Yankees because of their depth at SP.

The Yankees announced that they avoided arbitration with catcher Eli Whiteside, agreeing to a one-year contract for 2013.
Anyone of note Jacko?

Yep, that team that absolutely sucked in the ALCS and looked like they didn't belong there. A year older, a year more expensive. That's who I'm talking about. They just weren't that good.

Ok but the discussion isn't about the Sox. All I'm saying is the Yankees didn't belong in the ALCS, stop acting like they're the shit cause they did.

Andy Pettitte is close to formally announcing he's going to pitch again in 2013, ESPN.com's Buster Olney reports (on Twitter). Furthermore, the free agent left-hander is close to finishing a new contract with the Yankees.
Wonder if it's the whole season or from like June-July on? Could they even rely on him for a whole season?

He didn't have any nagging injuries last yr, just the fluke comebacker. When you have a 38 yr old and a 41 yr old in your rotation, you need a reliable 6, and we have one

So if the Yankees didn't belong in the ALCS I guess the Tigers didn't belong in the WS eh?
