Re: RJ back to the Diamondbacks??
Randy Johnson pitched 6 innings giving up 2 earned runs, 7 hits, striking out 5 and walking 1 in his second start of the season. The Yankees would kill for this performance, but they have Luis Vizcaino instead.

Re: RJ back to the Diamondbacks??
Yeah, I'm sure he'd be doing that in the AL East now.

Probably not. He only won 34 games in the AL East the last two years, and the second year he did it with a herniated disc in his back. Now that he is healthy there is no reason to think that he could win in the AL East with the Yankee offense backing him.

Re: RJ back to the Diamondbacks??
Exactly, even if he wasn't dominant, he gave the Yankees innings.

Re: RJ back to the Diamondbacks??
I guess they didn't learn much from our experiment in trading away pitching depth pre-season. Can't say they didn't have a shining example to reference.

...and we only traded away our #5 starter. The Yankees traded their ace.

This is when a Yankee fan comes with that Wang is their ace. I fear a broken Johnson more than I will ever fear Wang.

That makes sense considering Johnson did have a 7 ERA against the Sox last year.

Wang's ERA against Boston is not very good.

Yeah its 5.28 but thats better then the 7 ERA the Unit was throwing up last year against you guys. RJ was awful against the Sox last year so the last thing I want to hear is how much he would make a difference yesterday as opposed to Wang.

He's also 15-7 against the Red Sox lifetime. He wouldn't be replacing Wang in the rotation, but he'd be an improvement to their staff.
