Re: Yankees ST
No. It's GREAT to have baseball back. Between the Mets and Sox games yesterday to the Yankee game today and the BC/Sox game tomorrow night, i'm having an amazing week!!
Now I can't wait to get out of school so I can get home and see the rest of the game.

on your message at the bottom you should include 2004 al east champions as well as alcs runners up
and 2006 alcs participants
if you want to really make a case for futility disappointment and underachievment.

Re: Yankees ST
Spring is when even Red Sox fans can dream of winning the AL East.

And Yankee fans can ponder if this is the year they can buy a championship.

Re: Yankees ST
Thus far Igawa is looking blah. He is having trouble locating his fastball, but it is a bit harder than what they were saying. He sits at 90 and I saw one or two that was 91. His curve is average, but his changeup is absolutely dirty. His track record says that his control will return, so I'm not worried about that. Overall, interesting line
1IP 1H 3BB 3K 1ER
Impressive stuff vs what I was expecting, poor location to this point.

He is going to get hammered this year if he pitches like he did in the first inning, he gave up two bombs that were foul and only threw like 40% of his pitches for strikes. However its only his first start.
Edit- The only two to three pitches that hit the 90's were so obvisously over thrown

I hate to say it but that arguement kind of goes out the door, when we spend 100 mill on Dicek and 75 million on J.D Drew.

I had heard some scouting reports saying that he sits in the low 80s. It is nice to see that he sits at 88-89 and breaks 90 occasionally. Promising for a first outing though. That changeup is just absolutely filthy. I was expecting a better curve though.
