Mussina strains a hamstring
Just announced. No idea what his management is, but I'd expect him to be DL'd.

Sadly Hughes and Clippard arent on the 40 man roster. The one person on the 40 that I think will get the call is Chase Wright. Hes off to a great start in AA.

Re: Mussina strains a hamstring
I have a feeling that they might call up Villone and move Rasner into the fourth starter spot. That would set him up for Tuesday against the Indians. By the time they need a fifth starter again Karstens should be ready.

Re: Mussina strains a hamstring
BTW, if this isnt an invitation for you guys to jump out to a huge lead in the division, I dont know what is. Once we get totally healthy and get into the warm weather/ dog days of summer when the bats are all goin well and the arms are throwin well, we will be tough to beat. Better build that lead now.

I don't wish ill on the players, just the team. These guys are dropping like flies. I want Hughes to come up, I wanna see the future, even if he dominates.

Re: Mussina strains a hamstring
Mussina expects to miss a start, but avoid the DL per rotoworld. He is saying he strained it, and definitely didnt "pull" it.

Re: Mussina strains a hamstring
Hopefully, the Yankees got all their injuries out of the way.
