Re: April 13th Yankees @ Athletics
Please do not let him face Piazza if this inning gets that far.
Well, he's going to face Piazza. Myers will come on if it gets to Chavez.

Re: April 13th Yankees @ Athletics
This is a shame, all of a sudden, with the early struggles of Proctor and Farnsworth, the bullpen doesn't look so spectacular anymore.
Who would have though, Farnsworth's best pitch of the inning comes on a slider.

Re: April 13th Yankees @ Athletics
how the hell does a deep bullpen like ours always come down to the worst pitcher in that pen. Torre and Francoma are in the same boat. Game on the line? Pineiro? Okay. Romero? Okay. Farnsworth, why not? Why are the two teams with 150+ mil payrolls have managers who couldnt pass the SAT.

Well, what's done is done. Now the question is how is Joe going to play the eighth inning whether or not they take the lead. Maybe Myers to face Chavez and then Vizcaino to finish it?

Proctor at least locates and has secondary pitches that are still very good. Farnsworth is a joke of a pitcher.
And with all our options, HOW COME FARNS IS IN EVERY FUCKING GAME!!! WTF!! Bruney hasnt touched a baseball in 5 days yet Farns has blown 2 games in a row. WTF!!!!

Farnsworth is clearly on his way down in terms of the bullpen order, or he wouldn't be pitching in the seventh inning now. They need either Farnsworth or Proctor to round into shape, if they want to have that solid three man rotation in the back of the bullpen.

if he wanted to see what Farns could do, why the hell would you put him in in a situation like this? Send him to mop-up duty and see if he fights his way out of it.
BTW, ARod is hitting the shit out of the ball.

Bruney doesn't exactly have significant secondary pitches either. But his control is better than Farnsworths so I see your point. But either way you at it you're going to see someone throwing a lot of fastballs.
A-Rod stay hot with another hard single.

Bruney's control isnt very good, but he knows enough to say, try to hit it better than Farns. Bruney for some reason is nearly unhittable. Yet he doesnt get big innings. Time to start.

I'm not so sure that kind of knee jerk reaction is necessary after one poor outing against the Twins.
