Re: April 13th Yankees @ Athletics
THE WEAKNESSES IN OUR MANAGEMENT ARE SHOWN. THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT. how many fucking times do we need to see Minkey come up in a big spot and choke? This is fucking retarded. I hope Mt Steinbrenner explodes and Torres goes with it. Joe is a fuckin idiot.

Re: April 13th Yankees @ Athletics
Please Fire Torre. He is completely awful. One of the best days of my life was the day they said Torre was fired. I nearly died when I heard he was retained.

That's twice Torre shunned Phelps (once with a lefty on the mound) when Minky was coming up in a huge spot. Both times Minky failed. I don't mind Minky starting the game, he brings a lot defensively to the table, but late in the a close game I don't want to see him hitting in a big spot.

Re: April 13th Yankees @ Athletics
If they can just get through this inning, they have the top of the order coming up in the ninth.

We're in the same boat with this one, but if you don't see Torre doing postgame interviews, it might be Mattingly, and I certainly wouldn't want that.

Re: April 13th Yankees @ Athletics
Vizcaino definitely has the best secondary stuff of any of the setup men.

Mattingly is likely to have more between the ears than Joe. I dont see how you can win 4 championships then suck at managing a game like this. It is inconceivable.

Have an unbelievable pitching staff from 1996-2001, then completely forget how to construct one.

Could have something to do with a certain bench coach. Maybe he was pulling all the strings in the dynasty years.
By the way, Vizcaino is quickly going to find himself setting up Rivera directly if he continues to pitch like this and Proctor and Farnsworth continue to pitch like they have.
As for this game, what could be a huge problem this inning or next (if there is a 10th) is that Kevin Thompson is now A-Rod's protection.

No, we have had good pitching especially in 02 and really in 03. Forget how to manage one is more like it. God I hate Joe. I hate him a lot. I will NEVER feel sad when he leaves. He is awful.

He wont be setting up Mo. Torre will go with Farns until he is either hurt or has a mental breakdown and kills someone. Both are likely. I hate the heart attack I feel every time Farns is in the game.
