Default Karstens rehab start

From Peter Abraham's blog:

Quote:
Jeff Karstens pitched for Class A Tampa tonight against Clearwater.

4 innings, 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 5 K’s. 52 pitches/42 strikes.

Brian Cashman reports that Kastens was rusty, which was expected. They’re not sure whether he will need another rehab start or not. But somebody has to pitch against the Red Sox this weekend.
So the sox have Schilling Beckett Matsuzaka lined up for this weekend. We have Pettitte Karstens and TBA(I think?)

If Karstens is rusty I don´t think you want to rush him and let him face the Sox O right now, that just be dumb, of course I wouldnt suggest letting Igwa pitch against them either, you can say all you want about how much we payed for Matsuzaka, but you payed half the price for Igwa and got an 1/8 of the pitcher....

I doubt they would pitch Igawa on three days rest. It's probably going to be Wright, because he would be the only guy with the proper amount of rest.
