Arroyo is a curveball pitcher. Have you seen him pitch. He throws it at several different speeds with varying breaks. So, yeah, I am serious.

So, because Arroyo throws multiple curveballs, that makes his curveball better?

Re: 4/26 TOR @ NYY The kid debuts
Even though AJ Burnett is not exactly your perfect pitcher (because he gets injured so often) Phil should really watch how he pitches to these batters. Burnett and Hughes are very similar in a lot of aspects, including kinds of pitches and velocity, but there is a big difference. At this point, Phil really just doesn't know how to set up counts and hitters. Burnett is very good at that. If he could only stay healthy he'd sure be something to watch.
I'm a Hughes fan, but this is just a little too early. For one, he isn't stretched out and he just doesn't have enough experience. By the way, I'm not reacted to the fact that he gave up two first inning runs.

Why are you pitching Thomas away? He loves to extended his arms and drive the ball to the opposite field or straight away center. Try to throw the ball under his hands, like the 1-2 pitch. I'd really like to see him drop his hands on a 95 MPH fastball and line it into left.
Well, he set up the batter nicely there.

Well how do you want him to set the lineup up? He'd rather people like Cano batting lower in the lineup so they come up in more RBI situations. Obviously you want to get people on for Abreu and A-Rod, but he probably thinks that if Damon gets on Minky will see a lot of fastballs and that might get him going a little bit.
By the way, finally a Yankee starting pitcher who can strike someone out.

I guess we'll have to see how it works out.
Edit: He's a very good bunter.

If he's batting second, you're not going to get a lot of RBI chances.
