Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I would rather watch Norbit. I would rather watch Curly Sue. I would rather watch Gigli. I would rather watch my parents have sex. I would rather watch Game 6 of the 1986 World Series.
SS and George Lucas spent years reading and rejecting scripts for the new Indy. A script written by M. Night Shyamalan. A script by Tim Burton. And this is what they chose? This piece of garbage? Jesus Christ I'm so let down it's ridiculous. I should have saved myself the $11 and rented National Treasure and stayed home. I'd have a movie with more adventure, more humor, and more substance than this travesty.
I'll wait until you all see it before I rip plot components so I don't spoil it...but man oh man...I am fucking pissed.
I'm writing to Lucasfilm and asking for a refund. I literally feel like someone stole from me. My $11, and the last 19 years of my life that I have spent waiting for Indy 4. Hurry up and buy the 4 disc boxed set while you can before they add this blasphemous article to the collection.

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Watching TV late one night last week in Edinburgh and Holy Grail comes on (far and away my favorite Indy movie). I stayed up to watch the entire thing.
The best part? "Not that Jones the other Jones!" and then the music kicks in.

Interesting way to spend 19 years.
Did you at least jerk off sometimes in that span? It's ok, the Docs say it's actually healthy and you won't really go blind like the old mother's tales say, as long as you cut back once you start having to wear glasses.
Of course I'm just busting on you, HOSN. My kids were looking forward to this movie as well...I'll suggest they see it with their friends on a Tuesday (cheap night) if they still want to go.

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
if its like its older movies then its too long for me to sit in a theater.
2.5 hours in a theater with the nerds of the world and their allergies sneezing all over me while the real jerkoffs dressed in harrison ford regalia try and decipher the codes and their meanings out loud would drive me fucking nuts.
i did enjoy the other movies and i suspect the graphics colors and sounds along with a fattie of kind bud could get me thru this too but they now frown upon marijuana smoke in the cinema so i will wait for the d.v.d to come out and continue to enjoy the current reviews...

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
there are many of us #26
my star wars/indiana jones guy came in bitching about the movies and how george lucas maybe the anti christ
hes 36,his wife walks with a cane and has a hearing aid and goes about 450
he came into work with a giant lump on his head the other night
his 7 year old daughter is over 100lbs and looks like she's about to burst and the boy who is 5 looks like he maybe their next meal....
a quote from this geek who freely admits he'd stick his hand in a urinal for a quarter
Actually, after Indy III, I realized that there will be some hits and misses. “Temple” was almost as good as “Raiders.” “Crusade” was okay.
I only hope that they 1). Stay true to Indy’s character—don’t soften him. 2). Stop trying to make it a laugh-in—It was an adventure. Not an adventure/comedy. 3). Don’t fuck it up like they did Star Wars. Ewoks defeating the Empire’s best? Luke is Leia’s brother? Darth Vader built C-3PO? The Force is actually a microorganism in the blood stream? I am willing to suspend disbelief only so far. It’s an infinite universe. It doesn’t need to ALL be explained in an hour and ½.
C’mon Lucas! My money and sanity are riding on this.
so naturally ive been emailing him these reviews but tell him theyre from the l.a. times and ny daily news rather than a sox site, hes approaching a nervous breakdown today

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
I actually like it. I thought it was well acted, and even though the story was a little far fetched it wasnt anymore far fetched then any other Indy movie.

Re: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
It was ok, but you wouldn't have enjoyed it I think unless you say the first ones.
