Feh... even Queen doesn't deserve to be mentioned with the Beatles.
The best songs have Lennon/McCartney as the writing credits.

I've recently come to realize, upon listening and relistening to All Things Must Pass, that George Harrison was definitely their equal, if not their superior.

The Beatles were great, one of the greatest bands of all time, but they are simultaneously one of the most overrated.

I'll agree with that. But Lennon/McCartney wrote most, if not all, of their best songs.
I think George Harrison was the best solo artist of them all. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is a great, great song... I know he wrote that. The only other Beatles songs I can think of off of the top of my head were "Something", "Here Comes the Sun", and "I Me Mine"

I wouldn't agree with that. It's difficult to call any band that has a 27 song CD of number one hits overrated. They've had 40 #1 singles in the UK. And this is in about a ten year span. They were under constant pressure to come up with a new sound for every album they did. From pop, to being among the innovators, if not the innovator of rock and roll, to their psychedelic rock. And their influence on music, and pop culture itself, can't be denied.
I'm, admittedly biased, though. I absolutely love the Beatles... I can listen to 'em all day long.

Re: Pump Up Songs
Exactly my point. Because theyre so universally loved and universally awesome, a lot of fans would never acknowledge critical flaws in certain songs, or types of songs. Not to mention theyre overplayed on the radio and have been merchandised halfway to fucking Neptune.
