Minus the Bear
Some of you have to have heard this band. Please. They're my favorite act out there right now.
I'm listening to their remix album and loving it.
Purevolume.

Re: Minus the Bear
Not a big new music fan, here. I'm hard pressed to think of a band whose music I enjoy that recorded any new music after I was born.

Kilo...
Do you know Watashi WA? If you like these guys, they should be just your thing as well.

Sleeping At Last is another one to check out also...they're a bit more mellow.

Re: Minus the Bear
Watashi WA sounds like it's a little more straightforward pop-rock than MTB, but I dig it. What I like most about MTB is the layering of the guitars they use.
Sleeping at Last is pretty good too. Although it almost makes me want to go to sleep at times.

Re: Minus the Bear
Great band. I suggest listening to Botch as well. A little different, but one or two of the same members.
I do want to get the new Minus the Bear album that just came out. Have you heard it yet?
I don't really hear any Strokes resemblance at all though.
