Default Minus the Bear

Some of you have to have heard this band. Please. They're my favorite act out there right now.

I'm listening to their remix album and loving it.

Purevolume.

Not a big new music fan, here. I'm hard pressed to think of a band whose music I enjoy that recorded any new music after I was born.

Kinda sound like another one of those Duran Duran wannabees. There's only so much room in my music catalog for those type of bands, so I'll stick with Kaiser Chiefs. The Strokes influence has just sucked wind on the whole genre.

Kilo...

Do you know Watashi WA? If you like these guys, they should be just your thing as well.

Sleeping At Last is another one to check out also...they're a bit more mellow.

Watashi WA sounds like it's a little more straightforward pop-rock than MTB, but I dig it. What I like most about MTB is the layering of the guitars they use.

Sleeping at Last is pretty good too. Although it almost makes me want to go to sleep at times.

Great band. I suggest listening to Botch as well. A little different, but one or two of the same members.

I do want to get the new Minus the Bear album that just came out. Have you heard it yet?

I don't really hear any Strokes resemblance at all though.

Good finds guys. One of the MTB sounds somewhat in the vain "Toad The Wet Sprocket."

If anyone likes the style of Radiohead or Cold Play (aka "Radiohead light") listen to

Rubyhorse:
http://www.rubyhorse.com/rh/home.html

or the band OURS ...go to link below and click on "Listen to Samples":
http://www.amazon.com/Distorted-Lull...077033-9177530

or Haven
http://www.amazon.com/Between-Senses...077033-9177530

I'm also getting into Chiodos and Taking Back Sunday (through my kids of course).
