This guys acting ability amazes me. I can see myself in him, but can't believe how far Jack goes and how the hell Sutherland can make it work and amke it believable. I don't think anyone else could ever play the role as well as he plays it now.

Yes he is perfect for the part. He just got a movie deal for between the 6th and 7th season.

For as much as people like to rag on Kiefer, he has done a solid job during his tenure on 24. He is perfect for the role.

Edit- There is a reason why 24 has been one the of the most consistent shows rating wise for the last 6 years. He also won an emmy last year for his role.

I love Keifer! Sure, everyone will always think of Jack Bauer in anything they see him in the future, but who cares? Jack Bauer is BADASS. It's not necessarily a bad thing. I'd go see a movie with him in it. And even if it was him as a terrorist hunter/killer/federal agent, that shit's cool to watch! And I think he rocks and is an amazing actor in this role.

No one is knocking his role as jack Bauer, but it doesn't exactly mean he has to change up his acting that much.

Like I said, he's typecast into that role.

Yeah you are probably right. I watched a movie last year with him in it called the Sentinel. It was probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. He plays Bauer well, but it remains to be seen if we will ever hear from him again after 24 wraps up, which will probably be in two years after season 8.
