Anything new you want to see? - Talksox

So, the software running this forum recently recieved a pretty major update. I'll be updating this forum to the new software in the coming days, which requires basically everything that was previously installed here to be wiped out and re-installed.

Are there any things you'd like to see added to Talksox during the update? Most of the changes will be behind the scenes type things that will make the mods' job a lot easier, but you'll notice some faster operation and new features I think. Hopefully it should go painlessly, the last thing I want to do is to wipe out talksox during the playoffs.

So,feel free to poop out any ideas that you may have.

I don't know. Like, would you want some form of game, or something else on the site in addition to the forum maybe?

quick links - a cool option I saw on another site

user rep points - if used correctly it helps mods because the membership polices itself to a certain point. If you add them be sure to add the auto sign feature so people can't annoymously give out red squares for no reason (just to be dick heads).

IMO when I visit the game thread forum I get occasionally annoyed by a couple of talksox members that make 3 posts per minute giving play by play for the game. Don't they know that the other people are watching the same game? I guess allowing less posts per minute or something would be better - maybe 1 post per 40 seconds and promote users to make more thoughtful posts.

How bout a chat and multiplayer games. Also BrentD22 said game threads get too many posts so I think we should have posts not count in game threads. Just an idea.

What difference does it make how many posts a person has. I never understood the fascination with that.
