We don't want too many long signatures because it clogs up the thread and to prevent sigs from being longer than actual posts. Yeszir must have changed the settings recently.

Re: Sig length
Yeah, I was wondering if I was the only one to notice that. I thought it was four lines we could have, now I can't add anymore than these two links. Which is fine if it's best for the site, I was just curious as to why it was shortened again.

Re: Sig length
I put a 250 character limit on sigs, because there isnt a simple "line limit".

Re: Sig length
yeszir, is there anyway to make it a little longer than 200 characters? That's a pretty short sig.

Re: Sig length
yes i tried to make this as my sig:
"For a century, there was one sacrosanct postseason fact: if you won the first three games of a seven-game series, you didn't lose the series. You didn't even make it to a seventh game. And the Yankees weren't only up three games to none. They were up three games to none with a one-run lead in Game 4 and the greatest closer in history, Mariano Rivera, on the mound. They were three outs from a sweep.
And, instead, lost.
Or, more precisely, choked." -- Mike Vaccaro, NY Post, 2/13/05
thats not ridiculously long, its just a short newspaper clipping

Re: Sig length
Increased by 50 characters. Sorry guys, but this is the only way to limit sig length as of now. If I figure out a way to do it by lines, I'll implement that and get rid of the character limit. Until then......sorry.

Are we allowed to have pictures in our signature?

Re: Sig length
No, sorry. I've always thought pictures in signatures on other boards make it difficult to distinguish from content and signature, causing confusion.

Ok, just making sure before I tried anything. I mess around with some graphic design programs so I got some stuff, but I understand. Thanks for replying.

Re: Sig length
No problem. I know graphics programs can be cool and sigs can look awesome, I've just always been against them and I've kinda gotten used to it. Feel free to create cool looking avatars or images just to show off though.

Nice board you got here, I know some places get so many signatures and stuff like that it makes it hard to read through the threads. So I can understand what you are saying. Im glad to be here, and it's nice to see some administrators that will actually give you the time of day.
BTW, if you ever want something made for the board graphics wise give me a holler. At the least you can check it out and see if you like it.

Re: Sig length
I'm an asshole once you get to know me.
But seriously, thanks for the offer. I was actually thinking about a potential t shirt design or something for the future. We can discuss later.

Re: Sig length
It's all good, we are all assholes when it comes down to it.
Yeah man anything you would want like that, I could come up with a design or something and send it to you. All you would have to do is print off the design and take it to a t-shirt company. I will be around, so just let me know.
