Better hope MDC can pitch the whole 8th.

Re: 5/16 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
McClung want no part of the strikezone against Papi. 4/8 with 4 dingers from his Tampa days.

Ahh, do I miss the days of The Tampa Bay Devil Rays, home of Seth McClung, Mark Hendrickson, Doug Waechter...

Re: 5/16 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
I think he wanted 499 real bad off McClung after he buzzed the tower a couple of times.

If there were a stat called Stranding a Fricking Runner in Scoring Position with No Outs (SFRISPWNO), the 2008 Red Sox would lead all teams from all leagues at all times. How's 4 straight innings sound to you?

Re: 5/16 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Whoooo-hoo!
MDC holds the lead for an inning. Kudos to Tito for having faith in MDC...I wouldn't have done that, and reliever innings are precious in doubleheaders.

Re: 5/16 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Yeah, that was big from MDC. It would be really nice here if the offense could score about 4 and put this into Aardsma territory, saving Papelbon for the night cap. Although, does Francona consider warming him up the same as using him? I know that was part of the usage calculus last year.

Re: 5/16 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Julio Lugo sits down when defense matters...and Youk moves third to first.
