Re: 5/14 vs Detroit
In other news, Texas has a touchdown and a field goal, but Toronto has kicked 5 FGs.

Re: 5/14 vs Detroit
Aaaaaaand... ball game.
Buch with only the one run over 6.1. Not shabby at all. 5 BBs, but considering how Gamecast was showing the balls and strikes, I'm interested to see what someone who actually saw the game thinks.
TB is three outs away from losing, so that's good.
Our DH did OK too.

Re: 5/14 vs Detroit
And we're almost... almost even in run differential.

Good to see Buchholz continue to pitch well. Nice.

Re: 5/14 vs Detroit
It was great to see Ortiz to continue to mash the ball, those two home runs were moon shots. His .999 OPS on the month has raised his overall OPS to a somewhat respectable .766 on the season.
We just have to keep winning series and we'll eventually have a playoff spot. Since our 4-9 start to the year, we've gone 15-8 and won 5 out of 7 series.

When Manny and Ortiz go a couple of games with Oh fers, Ortiz would say that somebody is gonna pay. Pitchers are gonna pay for his slow start.

After the game, he said, "there's people that know a lot about the game, they think they have everything figured out. You tell them the season is not over after April. It's over after October."
