Pittsburgh put up 6 runs on the White Sox in the 2nd inning today, none of them charged to Gavin Floyd

Pedro pitched 4 innings of shutout one hit ball on 60+ pitches, but didn't come out for the 5th. Does anyone know what happened?

From rotoworld.com
Quote:
Pedro Martinez was pulled after just four innings on Saturday because of stiffness in his right shoulder.
Martinez lasted 66 pitches against the Rockies. He had walked three batters, but allowed just one hit and tallied three strikeouts. The Mets are calling it a precautionary move, but we shall see.

Re: 2008 Everybody else Game Thread
Mike Pelfrey is pitching unbelievably well of late. He pitched 7 shutout, walk-less innings against San Francisco last week, and tonight against Colorado he is pitching in the eighth inning with 1 down and still hasn't given up a run or walk. He has only given up 1 run in his past 21 innings or so. Oh, and he still hasn't reached 100 pitches yet tonight.

Yeah, Pelfrey has been insane as of late.
Don't look now but the Mets are about to win their 9th in a row. Looks like Jerry Manuel's "gangsta" style is catching on.

I was really trying to get to one of these Rockies/Dodgers games but my buddy didn't really want to go. Tonight probably would've been the one we attended... good thing we didn't...

Re: 2008 Everybody else Game Thread
The Phillies have just put SIX runs on the board in the top of the 9th at New York. And they're STILL batting. What a meltdown by the Mets. Wow.
8-5 Phillies

I am proud to say I was able to see Alexi Ramirez hit his first career grand slam last night at the White Sox-Rangers game.

Re: 2008 Everybody else Game Thread
Bronson Arroyo with his 5.60 ERA has 9 wins with the crappy Reds. That ballpark is a bandbox. Who know what that contributes to his ERA.

Re: 2008 Everybody else Game Thread
CC Sabathia has been ridiculous ever since being traded to the Brewers. He pitched a 3 hit CG shutout tonight at St. Louis, his THIRD CG in 4 starts with Milwaukee. With Sabathia, Sheets, and Manny Parra, the Brewers have a scary 1-2-3 in the rotation. I'd hate to draw them in a short series in October.

Re: 2008 Everybody else Game Thread
The Yankees cross-town rival Mets just moved into first place by beating the Phillies 3-1.
