Default Two Yomiuri Giants get Swine Flu

It's not much of a story, and certainly a non-issue to us over here, but I was intrigued when I read that 2 Yomiuri Giants have been diagnosed the H1N1 virus. Tough break as they are about to begin their Stage 2 Climax Series (sorta like the the equivalent of the LCS, except their playoff system is a bit retarded) with the Chunichi Dragons.

Oh well, feel free to post, comment, or close. Just thought I'd share this.

Since nobody here really cares I'm not going to create a new thread, but the Yomiuri giants defeated the Chunichi Dragons in the Climax Series to advance to the Nippon/Japan Series vs Yu Darvish and the Nippon Ham Fighters. If anyone besides me cares, feel free to discuss.

(The Giants are my team but I love the Fighters' jerseys.)

And on a random note, the best thing about Japanese Baseball is the Beer girls with their backpack keg-a-rators

"Ham Fighters" haha What a random name. Japanese baseball seems interesting, I wish they aired some games here.

If you're up at 4am later you can watch a live stream of Game 6 as the Giants go for the clincher in Sapporo. If the fighters win then they have Yu Darvish going in game 7. Should be an interesting end to the series.

I wish there was more mainstream coverage of NPB here as well. The only way to follow it is to keep an eye on spotty coverage online that often times doesn't get updated in English.
