According to Bill Madden of The NY Daily News, the Royals have agreed to send the versatile Mark Teahen to the White Sox in exchange for Chris Getz and Josh Fields. Madden says Teahen is expected to replace free agent-to-be Jermaine Dye in rightfield.

Next time, specify that it's the White Sox in the title. You just ruined a fine pair of pants for Dojji.

Me too (not the pooping part). I thought of Dojji as soon as I saw it.

Re: Royals Agree To Trade Mark Teahen To Sox
I seriously considered not posting at all in this thread, just so you wouldn't have the benefit of the humor at my expense.
Then I realized that I could count on you bastards to have it anyway. .
Frankly I'd heard of this at another site awhile ago. Not really surprised they dealt him. I am surprised the Royals went for Getz and Fields as a return though. That's a bit of a headscratcher. One would have thought they'd try for positions that didn't duplicate two of their best young players.

Re: Royals Agree To Trade Mark Teahen To Sox
Giving up Getz and Fields for Teahen is a steal for the White Sox. Getz is a smart player and a good baserunner, but he doesn't get on base nearly enough to allow you to overlook his lack of extra base hits.
Fields is an underachiever whose last name belies the fact that he can't field at all. And on a personal level, I don't like him because he seriously mused retirement because... wait for it... he doesn't like what goes on in a clubhouse. True story.
