Your Free Agent Team
Just thought I would have a little fun and see what everyone would consider the best free agent team they could put together.
I think it would be easier to do the starting line-up, three starting pitchers, two relievers and a closer.
2010 Free Agent List - list of free agents from another thread.
So with that being said here is my line-up.
C - Jos? Molina
1st - Carlos Delgado
2nd - Placido Polanco
SS - John McDonald
3rd - Chone Figgins
LF - Matt Holliday
CF - Rick Ankiel
RF - Xavier Nady
DH (Optional) - Hideki Matsui
SP - John Lackey
SP - Andy Pettitte
SP - Rich Harden
RP - J.J. Putz
RP - Guillermo Mota
CL - Billy Wagner
-----------------------
My team was picked off of my personal feelings for the players. I didn't look at stats or anything like that. I'm pretty sure I'm biased towards some players (Ankiel, McDonald and Mota) and others probably should have been put there in their place but oh well.
So what do you guys think your free agent team would look like?

Re: Your Free Agent Team
Where is the entire "low-risk, high-reward team"?
The one the Red Sox signed last year.

You put Ankiel over Damon?

Unless I play in NYS, yes. Younger, absolute house for an arm, better power. Ankiel is the better long term option.

SS Scutaro
3B Beltre
LF Figgins
CF Ankiel
RF Holliday
DH Bay

BTW how cool would it be to have an actual FA team? They wait until about Febuary to fill out their roster with 1 year deal players. I bet they could beat the Nats LOL

I wonder if there will ever be a big league Grays team. Visiting teams do receive a portion of the gate, but media rights would be a big problem.
I betcha they could muster enough to match the Marlins' payroll though.

Re: Your Free Agent Team
Eh? Looked like it on Cot's. Guess I got fouled up by the option.
Switch it to Justin Duchscherer then, or Braden Looper..

Re: Your Free Agent Team
I can tell why. you're basically putting Damon in center and Holliday in right.

No, I'm putting the three best outfielders with no regard to position, because it's not a real team.

I reject your reality, and substitute my own
